Spotify’s global Strategic Marketing team is seeking a full time Content Lead to lead the industry-facing content strategy for Spotify for Brands, overseeing the primary channels and stories that inspire and drive demand with our external audience of advertisers and brand partners. This person will help relaunch our global Spotify for Brands website, guiding the content that fuels this destination along with key industry-facing pieces across formats and channels, from written and interactive to video and audio.

The right candidate has a strong editorial mindset, foundation in digital content development and leadership skills, with a proven track record of driving cross-functional workstreams and aligning content strategy to strategic business bets. Interest in research and the intersection between music and marketing is a huge plus.

This role reports to the Global Director of Strategic Marketing in New York.

What you’ll do

Drive the Spotify for Brands global website relaunch and newsletter series from strategy to execution, ensuring the site meets cross-functional business and communications objectives.
Develop and implement editorial calendar, providing creative and editorial oversight to Strategic Marketing team to ensure alignment with content strategy and tone of voice.
Develop insights-first narratives and positioning that build on Spotify for Brands’ value proposition, working hand in hand with Advertiser Research & Measurement stakeholders to articulate research needs, as well as key stakeholders across the Partner Solutions organization (Business Marketing, Product Marketing, etc.)
Oversee the editorial and creative strategy for seasonal narratives and tentpole events to produce content that’s distributed on Spotify for Brands digital channels and communicated in partner-facing collateral
Execute content strategy for Spotify for Brands’ original podcast, from curating the guest lineup to guiding episode recordings and pre-to-post-production.
Lead execution of video content that conveys Spotify for Brands’ core value proposition and narratives to a global audience.
Guide content development for industry speaking engagements, including ideation of topics, positioning and key messaging for keynotes and panels.
Align with cross-functional stakeholders (Comms, Business Marketing, Product Marketing etc.) to ensure content can be leveraged effectively across global integrated marketing campaigns.
Manage a team of 2 copywriters
Proactively spot business challenges and propose solutions.
Who you are

8+ years in an editorial leadership role, overseeing websites and and teams that produce content across formats (from written and designed to audio and video).
Exceptional storytelling skills and keen understanding of how to craft and evolve narratives.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and communicate priorities and principles to a variety of stakeholders.
Experience organizing content programming around strategic objectives and measuring to optimize.
Fluency in media publishing tools and experience with Keynote, PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite.
Global/B2B experience and interest in the intersection between music and marketing is a huge plus.
