Position Summary : The OIG has primary responsibility for maintaining integrity of the Income Maintenance (IM) Programs such as Medicaid/BadgerCare Plus and FoodShare. IM Program eligibility determination is supported by a number of complex automated information systems including: ACCESS online application, Client Assistant for Reemployment and Economic Support (CARES), and the DHS Medicaid management information system (interchange). In the Fraud Investigation, Recovery and Enforcement (FIRE) Section of the OIG, the person in this position is responsible for monitoring and assisting local agencies (consortia and independents) that administer Fraud Prevention and Investigation Program (FPIP), completing recipient and vendor fraud investigations, providing training and technical assistance to local agencies, updating and disseminating program guidance materials, and representing the OIG on all data systems projects related to recipient fraud and trafficking. Special Notes : Due to the nature of the position, all applicants who may be appointed will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
