Job Description

We are seeking a coachable, driven, and enthus iastic sales lead to sell tickets, group outings, and premium seating. Under the guidance of the Marketing & Promotions Specialist, you will have the opportunity grow your career in the Sports Industry and make an impact in a professional sports organization. The position is a temporary, full-time, entry level sales position that will be used to develop our future stars in the sports industry. We are committed to preparing you to take the next step in your career!

Responsibilities:
1) Coordinate and execute sales calls to potential customers through cold calling, email marketing, prospecting and referrals.
2) Generate new sales opportunities through area businesses and organizations to maximize group sales.
3) Attain individual, group and department sales goals as set by the Championship Staff.
4) Help maximize renewal business and facilitates administrative support as needed.
5) Assist in developing and executing promotional campaigns.
6) Manage schedule to achieve daily and weekly goals for calls and contacts. Office time will be spent on assigned call campaigns, preparing proposals, setting up prospect visits, and follow up calls.
7) Represent organization at various networking and/or offsite community events promoting ticket sales.
8) Enhance social media presence.
9) Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Championship Staff. Qualifications

POSITION/PHYSICAL CONDITIONS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time. The use of hands and fingers to handle objects, tools and controls is required. The employee may occasionally be required to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S) preferred.
Two years related experience in sales and marketing.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent oral communication, customer service and problem solving skills.
Ability to function in fast-paced environment handles multiple projects and meets deadlines.
Proficient computer skills including experience with MS Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook as well as ability to learn and master new software programs. As well as standard office machines, including but not limited to: telephone, copier, facsimile, scanner, and PC.

Available to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings and weekends.

SCHEDULE:
The Championship Sales Lead will work full-time. Forty (40) hours a week will be required initially (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.). As the Championship nears, more than forty hours a week may be required and some work will need to be accomplished on the weekends.

From two (2) months out, up to the week of the Championship, working conditions become hectic, stressful and long hours may be required.
