Perform a wide variety of administrative, analytical, computing and staff support activities for RowanSOM Office of Academic Affairs and Center for Teaching and Learning to maximize efficient workflow. Assists in the planning and support of program activities. Coordinates office operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepares routine correspondence, emails, reports, and other documents in a timely manner using a variety of software applications. Handles confidential matters with discretion.
Executes assignments and tasks requiring data collection, information gathering, analysis, data entry/retrieval, data base maintenance, and forms and graphics generation utilizing a variety of software packages.
Assist in the scheduling and evaluation of medical school curriculum and other adjunct academic programs using One45 system. Use 25Live room reservation system to schedule classes and events.
Assist Center for Teaching and Learning with academic support functions: schedule students, coordinate exam proctoring schedule and provide additional support for staff working with students with disabilities.
Prepares and/or compiles data for special reports and analyses, monthly reports, program evaluations, and other related reports within prescribed guidelines.
Undertakes routine writing and editing assignments; generates correspondence for signature; maintains mailing lists.
Coordinates and maintains the department calendar. Exercising discretion, applies informed independent judgment to help manage the Director’s time. Makes travel arrangements and prepares meeting agendas.
Evaluates office procedures, establishes standards, and recommends and implements new or modified procedures as needed.
Serves as principal liaison between the department and other administrative units such as Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Human Resources and Information Services and Technology.
Screens calls and provides information in accordance with organizational policy. Assists with front desk coverage as needed. Receives and appropriately handles incoming correspondence, makes appointments, schedules meetings, and responds to inquiries.
Understands and adheres to Rowan’s compliance standards as they appear in Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
Keeps abreast of all federal, state and Rowan regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts, Public or Business Administration, the Social Sciences or a related field, plus one (1) year of professional level experience in a business office, government agency, or university setting.
