This position serves as the Administrative Support Assistant for the Hanksville Field Station in Hanksville, Utah. The incumbent will perform a wide range of tasks described below, with work designed to further develop and refine their knowledge and skills. At the full performance level, major duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Assists Field Station with budget tracking.
  • Researches Federal Supply sources and other mandatory sources pertaining to government procurement, processes requisitions for the office.
  • Handles and processes collections such as payments, sales, permits, and recreation fees.
  • Serves as the primary contact for the front desk.
  • Provides information to the public through a variety of oral or written contacts.
  • Serves as the office's central point of contact for a variety of Human Resource matters.
  • Assists the District property officer to assure accuracy of ownership and custody of all personal property and fleet management.
  • Assists in the preparation and oversight of maintenance contracts (i.e.janitorial) for buildings and facilities.
  • Processes incoming/out-going mail and performs filing and records custodial duties for the office.

OR Education: Applicants may substitute education for the experience required for the GS-05 level. Four (4) years above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at the GS-05 level. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience.
