ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
University of South Florida was founded in 1956, and is the 9th largest university (more than 47,000 students) nationally, and NIH ranked 23rd based on the research funding secured by the faculty of USF. College of Pharmacy is part of the interdisciplinary/interprofessional USF Health constituting Morsani College of Medicine, College of Public Health, College of Nursing and School of Physical Therapy, and the School of Biomedical Sciences.
College of Pharmacy has received the full candidate status from ACPE, and has employed over 40 faculty in two departments. The first class graduated in May 2015. The current student enrollment is 395 students.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Office of Graduate Programs at the USF College of Pharmacy invites applications and nominations for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor levels to teach graduate courses and conduct research in Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology, Industrial Pharmacy, and Chemical Biology, including nanomedicine and drug design. This is a full-time appointment engaged in research, course creation and teaching in an online and/or face-to-face format for graduate certificate, Master's and PhD programs. Faculty are expected to develop and direct graduate courses, as well as participate in team-taught didactic instruction to promote an integrated professional curriculum.
The applicant will also be expected to establish an active research program in an area of expertise related to the above specialties and should have a track record of extramural research funding. The USF College of Pharmacy fosters professional development programs to support the successful progression of new faculty members as pharmacy educators. Faculty duties will include: teaching; assisting with educational infrastructure development for the USF College of Pharmacy; conducting research and performing lab-related duties; participating in faculty committees and College-wide/University service activities; providing student advising; and other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching Duties: Course development and teaching as assigned. Faculty members are expected to develop and direct graduate courses as assigned and to participate in team-taught didactic instruction as needed to promote an integrated professional curriculum.
Research Duties: Responsibility to establish and maintain an externally funded research program in one of the following areas:
Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology, Industrial Pharmacy, Chemical Biology, Nanomedicine, Drug Design.
Other Duties: Assisting with educational infrastructure development for the USF College of Pharmacy; participating in faculty committees and College-wide/University service activities; providing student advising; and other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM: The minimum qualification for the position is a Doctoral degree (PhD or PharmD/PhD) from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. The qualifications must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
PREFERRED: Requisite graduate teaching experience in Pharmacy-related subjects at an accredited pharmacy or health-sciences program are preferred.
