: Entry-level position responsible for the following: Login and check in of samples in the laboratory; validate and maintain legal Chain of Custody; perform sample preparation and analysis according to approved methods and SOPs; review data and procedures, verifying that procedural requirements are met and comply with the Laboratory’s Quality Assurance Program. Perform maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and instrumentation; maintain inventory of all supplies; record all observations and calculations, accurately. Submits results on time for review and final reporting. Handles laboratory chemicals, samples, equipment and instrumentation according to specific sample requirements, approved methods, SOPs, QA procedures and CHP; informs appropriate personnel immediately of any problems associated with instrumentation, equipment, materials as well as deviations from schedules, methods and SOPs. Performs other duties as required or needed.

Minimum Qualifications: Require a Bachelor’s degree preferably in chemistry, environmental science or related discipline and recent work experience in a certified environmental laboratory setting. A North Carolina Wastewater Analyst Certification will be required within 18 months of employment.
