SUMMARY: Responsible for clerical duties of the Floral/Produce Department and maintenance of order system of the Produce Department. To assist member stores with issues and concerns to best supply retail. To further assist the director, buyer and field staff of Floral/Produce Merchandising with other requests as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Receive and respond to calls from the AWG store members regarding floral/produce inquiries.

Responsible for data entry and maintenance of internal AWG order/support system (placing orders, set-up of details, accrual contracts).

Receive and process all special order programs (set-up all deals), food shows, "clip the competition", A-Map program.

Monitor and maintain new and discontinued item selection.

Monitor the receiving and disbursement of short term items (in/out) insuring the warehouse slotting of items and delivery of these items in a timely manner.

Maintain all department files.

Type all departmental correspondence as assigned.

Mail and assemble order guide.

Open and distribute mail for department.

Perform other duties as requested by Produce Sales Manager.

Good communication skills with those contacted to insure that set goals are reached.

Operate office machines such as copiers, fax, P.C.

Compiling data, extracting confidential information and preparing reports.

Operating pertinent computer software applications (such as word processing).

Perform additional functions as requested.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
