The Oregon Health Authority, Public Health Division, Adolescent, Genetics and Reproductive Health Section is currently offering a great opportunity. The Data Quality Analyst provides experience in research and data analysis to the Oregon Reproductive Health Program, which offers reproductive health services to all people who need them as well as information and resources necessary to ensure all pregnancies are healthy, well-timed and intended.
What will you do?
You will manage large claims datasets received by the program and develop processes for assuring quality and accuracy of claims data submitted by participating clinics and providers. You will support the process by which claims data is converted into payment for services and will work with clinic providers and billers to ensure accurate data submission. You will analyze a variety of data and interpret and summarize the data for written reports used for program evaluation, program planning and quality improvement.

A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline that included six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and procedures , and one year experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports;
Four years of research experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports .
- Master's degree in health or social sciences which includes advanced preparation in statistics, evaluation, and research design.
- Experience working with data management and statistical software such as SPSS or SAS.
- Experience with statistical analysis and data management using statistical program syntax.
- Experience managing large medical/clinical data sets including medical claims.
- Experience developing systems of auditing for accuracy within large data sets.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience providing technical assistance to others.
- Experience working with others to resolve data inaccuracies.
- Experience providing data reports with short turnaround times.
- Experience preparing and delivering reports and presentations to a range of stakeholders to report research findings, tools, current statistics or other pertinent information or data.
- Knowledge of, or experience in, clinical reproductive health services.
