The Job

The Social Insights Analyst reports to the Insights Strategist, and is responsible for enabling the discovery and delivery of social media insights through quantitative and qualitative analysis and data integration of multiple social media data sources. Data is both structured and unstructured, generated from social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, and YouTube. The expectation is to make complex data sets from multiple social media channels digestible with clear reports and rich visual formats that are insightful and actionable. The job of the Social Insights Analyst entails activities pertaining to, but not limited to:

Day-To-Day Activities:
Analysis:
Ensure correct implementation of tracking for social media campaigns, as well as the accuracy of the data coming from various social media channels;

Maintain social media data trackers and dashboards, organize and synthesize data from multiple social media channels, and analyze social media performance against campaign objectives;

Perform quantitative and qualitative data analyses of paid and organic social media efforts;

Capture social media influencers’ impact on social media campaigns, including analysis of their social media posts, relevant conversations of their fan base, and earned media generated;

Run ad-hoc analyses to identify trends and areas of opportunity, and recommend innovative options to optimize social media strategies;

Maintain functional expertise in social media analytical tools, techniques, and other infrastructure requirements.

Reporting:
Provide social media insights and develop recommendations based on measurement reporting and quantitative and qualitative analyses;

Provide clear, comprehensive reports on paid and organic social media performance using client-approved templates and professional reporting tools;

Manage ongoing social media channel reports as well as ad hoc deep dives to help strategists and managers optimize efforts;

Build report on the campaign’s social media influencers, including analysis of their social media channels, network and fan base.

Others:
Maintain relationships, and manage internal collaboration with key stakeholders to improve online behavior change marketing campaign performance;

Stay up-to-date on new social media metrics and measurement tools;

Other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree +3 years relevant experience OR 8 years relevant experience OR Master's Degree +1 years relevant experience;

Proven ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data, including content and sentiment analysis;

Experience analyzing paid and organic social media metrics (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube);

Experience working with social media marketing analytics tools (e.g., Facebook Insights and Ads Manager, Twitter Ads Manager, YouTube Analytics), and enterprise-level Social Media Management System (e.g., Sprinklr);

Experience working with attitudinal and social media measurement tools (Marketing Evolution, Dynamic Logic, Insight Express, BuzzMetrics, Radian6, Crimson Hexagon);

Experience working with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends);

Experience working with statistical and database tools (R, Python, MySQL, databases,etc.);

Proven understanding of database concepts including normalization, and data integrity;

Experience presenting data visually through Excel, Powerpoint, MS Access reports, Xcelsius, etc;

Experience building multiple reports for different campaigns simultaneously;

Experience working with a cross functional team.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using social listening tools;

Experience analyzing Snapchat, and Tumblr metrics;

Experience analyzing the results of experimental test design (A/B split, multivariate testing);

Competent in digital media, traditional media and events campaign measurement;

Experience with public health campaigns and their evaluations;

Familiar with Alternative, Country, EDM, LGBT, and Hip-Hop subcultures.

Physical Requirements:
