Position Summary:

This is a faculty position that works with multiple residencies to develop and implement curriculum, educational and clinical programs related to behavioral medicine. The position may offer opportunities for direct integrated patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration in research.

Minimum Education:

PhD in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology – APA accredited

Completion of an Internship in clinical /counseling accredited by the American Psychological Associate (APA)

Completion of a APA approved Fellowship

Minimum Work Experience:

3 years clinical and teaching experience within a medical setting.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

Must be able to obtain as an independent Michigan license

Must be eligible for clinical privileges at Allegiance Health

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Multidisciplinary experience required.

Experience with assessment and treatment of a wide range of Psychosocial Disorders including ADHD, Eating Disorders, Pain Management, and Depression

Experience with curriculum development, assessment of performance and progress measures.

Demonstrated leadership experience

Basic working knowledge of psychopharmacology at level that allows for collaboration with the primary care providers

Research experience; knowledge of research design, statistics (including managing longitudinal data), psychometrics

Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with group treatment and knowledge of dynamics in this treatment approach
