This position will be working as a part of an extremely dynamic team of professionals supporting all aspects of the School of Medicine and the creation of the infrastructure, process, and procedures for the Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine. The team works from an interdependent model of practice and we are looking for someone who thrives in a highly challenging role within a high functioning team-based environment. This position will support work streams related to Operations including but not limited to Human Resources, Recruitment, Compensation, and Finance. Includes the tactical and strategic planning, tracking and managing of a highly visible, sensitive and multi-faced project. This includes logistics and planning, critical thinking, effective communication, problem solving, and quality assurance. Ensures assigned deliverables are met within scope, schedule, and budget, and are aligned with the expectations of key stakeholders.

Essential Functions:
Manages complex to moderately complex projects

Develops solutions that align with strategic direction and standards

Negotiates agreement on project schedule and budgets

Applies methods or recognized equivalents appropriate to the specific needs of the project/client

Demonstrates understanding of the need to manage risk issues and participates in the application and process of mitigation.

Develops and sustains strong working relationships with stakeholders both internally, at the local and national level, and externally.

Demonstrates application of approved project management methods and business methods to projects

Develops and maintains the project plan

May develop and execute user training plans

With guidance coordinates the collection and validation of business requirements

With guidance stays abreast of enterprise-wide projects and prevents or manages associated conflicts

With guidance determines the impact of current/existing technologies on the project and communicates impact to sponsors

Works on assignments of diverse scope

Generally performs within broadly defined practices and guidelines, and also modifies or suggests enhancements

Requires planning to coordinate with other departments or resources

Oversees transition to operational production status

Manages project close-out activities

Develops and conducts post-implementation review

May participate in overseeing the transition of project team members to new projects.

Ensures alignment on project purpose, direction, and schedule.

Demonstrates collaborative skills to ensure integration of project across operations

Develop strategic plans and recommendations based on anticipated needs and risks of the project

Develop and compile project report-outs for various levels of leadership

Basic Qualifications:
Experience

Minimum three (3) years of project management experience.
Education

Bachelor's degree in related field OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

Additional Requirements:
Understand all project life cycle phases and applies knowledge in the delivery of at least one (1) phase of the project delivery life cycle.

Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
