Position Responsibilities: The Director of Campus Life oversees all facets of delivery of a comprehensive Campus Life program that is based upon enhancing the ways students develop, grow and mature. Student Life programs add to and supplement classroom experiences, provide leadership opportunities for students and build campus community while recognizing diversity, individuality and the campus environment. The Director has oversight of the Student Life Department, the Student Recreation Center and the Student Health Clinic.Oversee development and implementation of comprehensive Campus Life programs and services.Provide opportunities for learning activities outside the classroom including leadership development, community service, student engagement and Diversity and Inclusion.Advise, mentor and advocate for students within the campus community. Oversee the support and advisement of student organizations recognized at the College including the Student Government Association.Encourage and support collaborative activities and events.Oversee all business operations of department including development and management of operating budget and cash reserve, allocation of student fees and Student Life, Student Health Center and the Student Recreation Center operations.Serve as advisor to Phi Theta Kappa.

Recruit, train and mentor student leaders. Direct chapters efforts to ensure full participation in Hallmark goals, including completion of College Project and Honors in Action projects.Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance, operation and use of all Campus Life facilities including Student Life Desk, Student Project Center, Recreation Center, Student Organizations Office, Student Health Services Center, student-funded meeting rooms, The Den, Great Hall, Pavilion and Multi-Purpose Field, Tennis/Basketball Courts and Volleyball Court.Coordinate annual commencement ceremony for the college: Chair committee, work with internal and external constituencies, assign and monitor all tasks to ensure well-executed event.Required Qualifications: BA/BS degree in student personnel services, student development, education or related field.Five years of direct program, supervisory and organizational management experience in higher education.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Ability to identify and resolve problems and conflict.Ability to plan, organize and implement programs and services.Knowledge of mentoring and developing student leadersKnowledge of Student Development theory and related practices.Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in College Student Personnel/DevelopmentTwo years Community College experience at a Manager or higher level of a Student Life/Co-Curricular department or program.
