The Patient Information Supervisor is responsible for managing the operations of designated staff. Provides work flow direction and management that is consistent with achieving department and organizational objectives. Other duties include achieving coordination, consistency, and integration in the operation of the clinic site, assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, assisting in strategic planning and budgeting, and leading and/or participating in improvement projects/teams.

Job Expectations:

Provides direction and leadership to designated staff
Actively supports the recruitment, orientation, and promotes the engagement of all designated staff
Accountable for initial and ongoing competencies for staff
Ensures effective and timely communication of relevant information as appropriate
Provides guidance to ensure performance management aspects such as mentoring, coaching, individual development etc. are in place and holds staff accountable to expectations
Fosters an environment in which the team holds each other accountable to Fairview behaviors and values
Works collaboratively with leadership and other organizational partners to ensure efficient and safe day to day operations of the site(s)
Anticipates and responds to physician/provider staffing needs and assures that support staff are appropriately scheduled to maximize efficiency, access and patient demand
Performs appropriate due diligence to resolve patient and staff concerns
Collaborates with leadership to help collect data through use of reporting in order to analyze, forecast, plan and direct clinic operations
Promotes, supports and participates in process improvement, quality initiatives, and innovation
Practices as a financial steward; provides input as appropriate related to clinic budget

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities:


Associate's degree in healthcare, business or related field required
1-2 years of demonstrated leadership experience


Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business or related field required

3-5 years of previous supervisory/management experience
