Northeastern State University invites applications for a full time secretarial position in the Speech-Language Pathology program at the Tahlequah campus. The Secretary will provide administrative and secretarial support for the SLP program, serve as receptionist and provide direct assistance to the Program Chair and as necessary, the Clinic Director.

Education Requirements
High school diploma or approved equivalent required.

Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a secretarial/clerical position required. Must possess the ability to work with confidential materials and matters in a professional manner.

Prepares a variety of correspondence.
Makes travel arrangements for assigned personnel.
Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; takes messages; refers to appropriate personnel.
Sorts and distributes mail.
Directs the work of student employees as assigned.
Schedules clinic appointments.
Makes appointments and manages calendars as necessary.
Processes purchase orders; processes purchase card statements as necessary.
Maintains a variety of documents and forms.
Enters information to computerized databases.
Prepares a variety of schedules and calendars.
Maintains office supply inventory; notifies College Administrative Assistant when reorders are needed.

The Speech-Pathology Program in the Department of Health Professions offers a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. The Speech-Language Pathology Program has 7 full time faculty, most have doctorates in the field. The programs are located in the Special Services building on the Tahlequah campus, with clinics located on the Tahlequah, Muskogee, and Broken Arrow campuses. The Master of Science Program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
