We’re seeking a Sr. System Administrator with enthusiasm, dedication and capable of taking ownership of this exciting and varied role.
This key position is accountable for managing and supporting the information technology of the enterprise including all data centers, remote offices and telecommunications (voice and data) and client facing (hosted) systems. The individual monitors, deploys, configures, and troubleshoots both physical and cloud based systems. This position requires flexibility to deal with people at a variety of levels both internally and externally. This position also requires a significantly broad, diverse and in-depth level of technical skills.
Administration and Management
Cloud hosting experience
Analyze tools, processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement.
Managing, monitoring, upgrading all components, software and services for all internal, remote and hosted environments.
Assist with the continued process improvement for all interconnected services and infrastructure components.
Maintains continuous improvement efforts covering all aspects of systems and service security. Including but not limited to, equipment security roles, user security roles, policy creation and maintenance and intrusion detection service models.
Assists with the recommendation, selection and acquisition of all equipment, software and services.
Responsible for project based and ongoing co-ordination of third party vendors used for LAN\WAN and cloud based services.
Recognizes necessary network improvements and makes suggestions for deployment to Director of Information Technology.
Creates and maintains documentation covering specific details, policies and procedures on all elements of the environment.
Ensures that support for around-the-clock information transfer, storage, and processing is timely, efficient and meets the service levels required.
Works as a technical mentor within the Information Technologies Team to ensure the continuous and efficient delivery of all automated systems and services that support the organization’s mission and objectives.
Maintains appropriate levels of security patching and remediation.
As a member of the Information Technologies Team, individual will respond to all hosted environment issues on a 24x7x365 basis, taking part in an on call rotation.
Provides Tier 3 support to the Information Technologies Team and Client Services Team in delivering, troubleshooting and resolving networking and or service delivery issues .
Quality Assurance Hosted environment
Assist in the planning, scheduling and deployment of high availability server/services that support an operational objective of 99.95% uptime.
Provides support for the company’s product suite as well as hosted and on-premises clients. Responsibilities would include creating and upgrading client sites and working closely with other internal departments such as Development, Quality Assurance, and PSG.
Continuously seeks alternative equipment and process to improve the firm’s competitive efficiencies through reduced cost and enhanced service offerings.
Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent technical certifications.
Five to seven years’ related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, certification and experience.
Effectively write reports, procedure manuals, and technical notes.
Ability to read, interpret, and write technical procedures.
Communicate effectively with technical clients.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients and staff, including inquiries and complaints.
Must be able to maintain relationships with internal and external clients.
Ability to cross communicate with other teams who impact clients.
Ability to evaluate process and resource impacts on service delivery.
Ability to be flexible in working with, presenting and reconciling ongoing software and service issues.
Possesses the expert knowledge to identify opportunities for change and the ability to convey the need for change.
Builds expert knowledge in our industry and conveys knowledge to others.
Has worked in a SaaS environment.
Extensive Windows systems administration experience.
Working knowledge of Hyper-V virtualization.
Familiarity with writing PowerShell scripts.
Working knowledge of SQL clusters.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP administration in a complex network environment.
Strong knowledge in storage technologies (SAN/NAS).
