Practice Manager II - Gen & Trauma Surgery The Practice Manager is responsible for the daily administrative and overall operations of the physician practices. This person is responsible for the supervision of all employed non-provider practice staff. They serve as the primary communication link between the practices and departments throughout the organization. The practice manager is responsible for creating and achieving practice and organizational goals. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare and/or 2-3 years equivalent combination of education and experience required • Requires a skill level that encompasses all aspects of practice management. • Demonstrated ability to work with and lead a variety of people. • Demonstrated independent decision making ability and able to work with customers in challenging situations. • Knowledge of computerized systems including word-processing, spreadsheets, and healthcare-based systems (i.e. practice management system). • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze data from various computer systems. • Must possess excellent personal computer skills. • Ability to establish effective working relations with office staff and employees in a team environment. • Ability to maintain positive rapport with all levels of leadership and influential healthcare partners (i.e. providers and community). • Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality and may require the use of significant tact in order to handle sensitive matters. • Ability to give easily understood directions. • Requires a high level of self motivation, strong initiative and effective communications skills Work which produces levels of mental/visual fatigue which are typical of jobs that perform a wide variety of duties with frequent and significant uncontrollable deadlines.
