Hours: This position is a four-week rotation, which supports the PM/Day hours including weekends, on-call, and holiday rotation.

Week 1: FRI and SAT 1500-2300
Week 2: FRI 1500-2300 and SAT 1030-1730
Week 3: THUR and FRI 1500-2300 and SAT (ON-CALL) 1500-2300
Week 4: MON 1400-1930 and TUE 1500-2300 and SAT 1030-1730

Full Time / Part Time: Part Time no Benefits

Operates the communications systems within the hospital; to include the telephone system console, emergency communications equipment, paging system and physician registry system. Handles all hospital incoming calls using assigned scripting and other tools and references to appropriately interact and follow through on questions and inquiries of the customers.
  • Greets all incoming internal and external callers using the assigned phone etiquette scripting.
  • Prioritizes incoming calls by assessing and analyzing information to identify immediate emergency needs.
  • Handles confidential information appropriately by protecting and disclosing information to only those authorized.
  • Demonstrates technical knowledge and competence in the departmental procedures to accurately perform all of the hospital emergency preparedness codes and other tasks required.
  • Maintains current physician on-call schedules to ensure appropriate communication to ProHealth Care Physicians.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two, with four or more preferred, years of experience in a customer service role required.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills required.
